Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective: July 31, 2026
This policy explains how cancellations and refund reviews work for Built by Blanch website projects.
Project-Based Billing
Website work is billed by project. The proposal states the fee, payment schedule, included services, and any deposit.
Payments do not renew automatically unless an ongoing service is separately accepted in writing.
How to Cancel
To cancel a project, email nickblanchardbusiness@gmail.com.
Include your name, business name, and the email used for the project.
Built by Blanch will confirm the request and summarize the current project status.
When Cancellation Takes Effect
When you cancel, the signed agreement controls when work stops and how completed work is handled. Unless it says otherwise:
- New work will stop after the cancellation is confirmed
- The client remains responsible for approved work completed through that date
- Approved nonrecoverable third-party costs remain the client’s responsibility
- Delivery of unfinished work depends on the agreement and payment status
Refund Policy
General policy: Refund eligibility depends on the agreement, payments received, completed work, reserved time, and approved outside costs.
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Work already completed or delivered
- Approved third-party costs
- Reserved time covered by an agreed term
If a refundable balance remains, Built by Blanch will confirm the calculation and payment method in writing.
Early Project Exception
If you cancel before project work begins and before outside costs are committed, you may request a refund review based on the written agreement and current project status.
To qualify:
- The request must arrive before design or development starts
- No nonrecoverable third-party cost may have been approved
- The written agreement must not state a different reservation term
Any approved refund will be based on the project agreement and work status.
Rights Required by Law
If local consumer-protection law provides different refund or cancellation rights, those rights apply. Contact Built by Blanch if you believe a required remedy is missing.
